Reinas, directed by Swiss-Peruvian filmmaker Klaudia Reynicke, won the Swiss Film Award in the main category of “Best Feature Film” in Geneva on Friday.

We are delighted to announce that La Muraille, documentary directed by Callisto McNulty, will be screened as a world premiere at the Vision du Réel international film festival in Nyon, Switzerland.

Klaudia Reynicke’s third feature Reinas (Queens) — Grand Prix of the Jury for Best Film in Generation Kplus at Berlinale and Prix du Public at Locarno Film Festival — is nominated for the Swiss Film Award : best feature film, best screenplay (Klaudia Reynicke) and best sound (Carlos Ibañez Diaz, Riccardo Studer).

Isaline Prévost-Radeff receives the Newcomer Award, for her performance on screen. Isaline interprets Julia, in On the High Seas, a TV series by Denis Rabaglia.

Reinas, directed by the talented Klaudia Reynicke, has won the prestigious Prix du Public UBS at the Locarno Film Festival 2024! 

The Land Within directed by Fisnik Maxville earned the prestigious award for Best Film Score, attributed to the talented Nicolas Rabaeus. In addition, Blackbird Blackbird clinched three awards, for Best Feature, Best Screenplay, and Best Editing for Aurora Vögeli.

Stephane Erös receives the Newcomer prize. For his first performance on screen, Stéphane interprets Marek, a teenager in truble with the law. Best supporting role Prize goes to Arcadi Radeff for his performance in two TV series.

Allo la France by Floriane Devigne is selected at Visions du Réel 2023 in Nyon. The documentary will run in the National Competition and will have its World Premiere on Sunday April 23th 2023.

Elene Naveriani’s third feature Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry, produced by Alva film and Takes Film, is selected at Directors’ Fortnight 2023 (La quinzaine des cinéastes).

Tizian Büchi's first feature film—Grand Prix in the International Feature Film Competition at Visions du Réel and selected in many international festivals—is nominated for the Swiss Film Award, Best Documentary section.

The Land Within, Like an Island (L’îlot) and Euridice, Euridice have been selected in the Panorama section.

Seems like Black Jack was only the beginning!

The news got out on Wednesday 6th, two Alva Film productions have been selected for the 75th Locarno Film Festival!

The Grand Prix from the festival in Nyon was given to the documentary “Like an Island” (L’Îlot) produced by Alva Film, that tells the life of a Lausanne neighborhood, between magical realism and collective portrait.
