The Other World
La muraille

In postproduction

In the mountains of southern Spain, a gigantic wall cuts through the landscape. It hides a village. Les Fontilles, the last leprosarium in Europe. This isolated village, cut off from the world to stop the spread of a disease considered contagious, was also a heavenly refuge for lepers rejected by all.

"The Other World" is a portrait of this village. Voices from the past and the present, characters from the "inside" and the "outside" come together to form a chorus. Together they give shape to and become the storytellers of a world that is disappearing. A world where the porous borders between life and death, freedom and confinement, the marvellous and the monstrous resonate more loudly than elsewhere.
