A summer afternoon. Ali, 17, fed up with the endless wait for an administrative decision, runs away from his housing for unaccompanied minor migrants.
With two Afghan friends, he launches himself onto the Rhône river, perched on a giant duck-shaped float, for a journey with no idea where it might lead.
Ali, terrified of water, watches the river turn into an initiation path—a voyage filled with encounters—mirroring his exile.
Between scars and laughter, contemplation and friendship, memories and the desire for a future, Ali discovers a new feeling: the freedom to belong to himself, and to live—just for a few hours—with the carefree abandon of the teenager he still is.
