Fuegas

in development

Erotism is a life force, a potent expression of the libido. Yet for some women, the repression of desire is so deeply internalized that they no longer recognize it. Their libido has shifted away from sexuality.

In FUEGAS, award winning director Arami Ullón explores a space where elderly Paraguayan women – forced to redirect their libido into other areas of life – can safely rediscover desire, reconnecting with the multidimensional and vital pulse of sexuality. Female sexuality, sought after in youth, yet often dismissed and scorned in old age.
